Choose your finger (not thumb) and massage the tip to improve blood circulation. Prick the fleshy part of the finger tip by placing the end of the lancet on your finger and then pressing on the top of the lancet.
Wipe away the first drop of blood with a clean tissue and then squeeze your finger gently to obtain a large drop of blood
Gently press the finger to apply sufficient blood drops on the two sample collection areas on the collection card – It is IMPORTANT to make sure the two collection circles are FULLY covered. Once you have done this do not touch the sample area.

Step 9

Once the sample has been obtained, apply pressure to the pricked finger with tissue paper or cotton wool, and maintain the pressure until the bleeding has stopped. Then wash your hands and rinse well with warm water.
